Charles Nitterhouse VFW Post 1599 Chambersburg, PA 17201

Application for membership to the Home Association of Charles Nitterhouse Post No. 1599 is available to all members who have served in the United States Military and their spouses. A limited number of memberships are available for social members on a first come first serve basis.

Classes of membership are as follows:

           Post Member – Those having served or currently serving in a
active war or duty in a war zone.
            Social Veteran – Those having served in the U.S. Armed
Forces without service in war or war zone.
            AUX - Spouses of a Service Veterans

            Social Non Veterans - Those having no military service.
 
Post membership for veterans is determine by overseas assignment and/or duty zones.
Any Post member wanting to transfer to Post 1599 must prove their eligibility before a transfer can be made.  If you have not served in a combat area you may still apply for membership. Determination of status as Post or social membership will be established based on your DD 214 information.

All veterans must supply a copy of their DD 214 with application for membership.

Please print (see links below) form, complete appropriately, and forward it ( with DD214 if veteran ). Include a check (annual dues of thirty-two dollars ) for one year. to the Post adjutant. If you do not have a Post Member to sign your application please contact the Post Adjutant or note same when submission is made.

Life Membership is available to Post members, See Post Adjutant for more information after acceptance.
